Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. VetTutor uses only strictly necessary cookies, the ones the app needs to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We also use analytics that respect your privacy (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand usage and performance, but these set no cookies and store nothing on your device.
The cookies we use
- Session / authentication: keep you signed in and protect your session. Without these you cannot use the app. Set by us and by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Sign-in verification: a short-lived cookie during login that holds your place while you enter your emailed code.
- Remember this device: set only if you tick "remember me" at sign-in, so you can skip the emailed code on a device you trust for a limited time. You control this with the checkbox.
Consent
Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have asked for, UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) does not require us to ask for your consent to use them. If we ever add non-essential cookies, such as advertising or third-party tracking cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
Our analytics tools (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) set no cookies and store no information on your device, so under these same regulations they do not require your consent. If we ever adopt analytics that do store information on your device, we will ask for your consent first.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the app will not work correctly without the essential ones.
